Cynthia works from a client-centred approach, working collaboratively with her clients in determining their goals for therapy. She integrates a variety of theories and tools in working with her clients, depending on her clients’ needs. No problem is too big or too small to take that first step to reach out for help and support. Cynthia will work with you to help you feel empowered and able to navigate whatever difficult situations you might be facing.
Cynthia Schoppmann detains a Master’s in Counselling and Spirituality from St-Paul’s University (Ottawa, ON – 2009). She has also completed a post-graduate diploma in Couple’s Counselling. Over the years, Cynthia has worked in various counselling settings (EAP, Youville Centre, University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine, women’s shelter – among others) allowing her to gain valuable experience working with a variety of issues and with diverse populations. Cynthia offers her services in both French and English and primarily works with adolescents, adults and couples within her private practice. She also has experience working with Indigenous and First Nations people, first responders, military members and veterans. Cynthia also frequently works with victims of crime, trauma and violence and receive cases through the Victim Quick Response Program – operated through the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario.
